ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Krystal

WHERE I COME FROM

I grew up in the foster care system in Atlanta. My experience with the deficient systems was that the government was not spending enough time on those who needed it the most. I was lucky enough to be put in the hands of a very kind family who ended you adopting me at age 14. Although I am grateful for my family, if the government had set up the system correctly, I would not have to go through what I did, but it shaped me into who I am today. Our house was in the suburbs outside of Atlanta. The house itself was small, but the yard was vast. I spent many days there. The great outdoors has a sweet spot in my heart but the pollution filling the city I love makes me upset.

A THRIVING CAREER

I spent a late high school and early college career volunteering with different environmentalist groups, as well as getting involved in clean-up crews around my area. I graduated from the University of Georgia and went to join the peace corps afterward for two years in Guatemala, which has significantly contributed to who I am. After this, I became a social worker for three years, and since then, I have realized that things haven’t changed. After getting married and fostering kids, I decided to make my impact greater and become a senator. With all my experience in improving the places around me, I am ready to take on the task of becoming your president and granting your wishes to make our country a better place.
